Bali

Bali is an Indonesian island known for its beautiful beaches, temples, looming volcanoes and lush terraced rice fields. It is also famous for its surfing culture, as well as the arts and crafts found here.

The best time to visit Bali is between May and September, when the weather remains warm and sunny. This is a great time to explore some of the more exotic beach resorts, such as Sanur and Seminyak, as well as Ubud.

Balinese Hinduism is the dominant religion in Bali, with over 20,000 temples spread across the island. Throughout the year there are a variety of religious festivals and celebrations.

When in Bali, you can experience the richness of this ancient religion by offering small gifts to local temples and small shrines. You’ll see many palm leaf baskets (known as Canang Sari) on the streets, filled with flowers, fruits and nuts.

A trip to Bali would be incomplete without a visit to the magnificent sea temples of Tanah Lot and Uluwatu. These cliffside temples are both stunning and peaceful, and offer a chance to watch the daily Kecak Fire Dance.

There are a number of ways to get around in Bali, including renting a motorbike or car. But if you’re looking to get the most out of your trip, hiring a driver is an excellent option.

You can also use boats to reach neighboring islands if you want a more scenic and relaxing travel experience. Beware though, there are plenty of boat operators who are not licensed to do so, so be careful.
