Bali

The island of Bali enchants travellers from across the globe with its beaches, iconic rice terraces, jungle-covered volcanoes and unique culture. It’s the kind of place that draws people to visit for shorter stays or return for longer. Backpackers and luxury travellers alike are drawn to this island of contrasts that offers a little bit of everything.

The best time to travel to Bali is during the dry season, April to October. The weather is generally sunny with the exception of some rain during these months. The rainfall is usually short and does not affect your plans too much.

Eat your way through Seminyak at the many trendy cafes and stylish bars like the very first speakeasy bar in Bali, Baker Street Social. Then spend the afternoon horseback riding along Canggu’s coastline and watch the sunset, a truly romantic experience that can be organised with Bali Equestrian Centre.

DAY TWO

The Dream Museum Zone has 3D illusion large paintings to click away at and Upside Down World Bali is perfect for gravity-defying selfies! If you prefer an escape game, head to Pandora Experience Bali.

The Balinese are a generous and welcoming people that make you feel right at home during your stay. They are proud of their heritage and their island, which is evident in the many temples and art museums. They also take the time to enjoy life’s simple pleasures, such as relaxing by the ocean and sipping on an ice-cold coconut (preferably fresh, of course!). They have four names to start with, either Wayan, Made, Nyoman or Ketut.
