Bali

Bali is a stunning and unique tropical destination with beaches, lush jungles, iconic temples, and world-class surfing. It’s an important cultural hub with a growing foodie scene, and it’s known for being one of the best places to visit in Indonesia.

The most popular tourist areas are Kuta and Seminyak. They’re renowned for their party scene, but they also offer a range of accommodation and nightlife options to suit everyone.

Adventure lovers can choose from a wealth of activities in Bali such as kayaking, jet skiing, rafting, ATVs and more. There’s even a number of surf camps and lessons to help you experience Bali’s almost year-round waves.

Beaches are another draw card to Bali, with the island being renowned for its white sand and pristine waters. You can visit some of the island’s most popular beaches such as Legian and Kuta, or head north to Tanah Lot temple complex for a beautiful sunset backdrop.

During the day, there are plenty of shops to browse. The famous Pasa Badung open-air market is a great place to pick up souvenirs and textiles, while shopping the Balinese way.

In the evenings, you can enjoy a selection of Balinese dishes in traditional warungs such as nasi campur which consists of various grilled meats and a mixture of vegetables placed on yellow or white rice. There are other popular Balinese dishes such as babi guling and sate plecing arjuna, which are both slow roasted pork and beef served with rice.
